San Pedro de Alcántara environment

All the beaches surrounding the area are fantastic, very clean and perfect for nautical Sports.

On the leisure harbour’ east side, and located on the Nueva Andalucia city centre, we find the Puerto Banús beach. With gold, thin sand, the beach occupies a 1.000 meters length, having a high occupancy rate all the year. There is also a large pedestrian walk, beach restaurants, clubs and all the public surveillance and maintenance services. Besides this beach we find the so prestigious NUEVA ANDALUCÍA and PLAYA DEL DUQUE estates.

The San Pedro Beach has a 1.000 meters lenght. With black sand, coming from regeneration processes, it’s located in the city centre.

Very close to the Guadalmedina River mouth, we find the named alike beach. This is a vast beach, with a 1.600 meters length and a medium occupancy rate. We find it very close to the Roman hot baths and the Third century historical ruins. In its vicinity we find luxury and amazing estates such GUADALMEDINA.

Next to the selected estate of RIO VERDE we find the named alike beach, very special for its thick, black sand composition. The place has complete equipment: a maritime rescue and first aid point, as well as public surveillance along the summer period.

Another renowned beach is Cortijo Blanco, located besides Guadaiza River. Equipped with all the facilities and services needed, shows a low occupancy rate and gold sand mixed with pebbles, very common in the area for its proximity to the river.

However, not everything is just beaches in this area of Malaga. Some inland/inner estates, such LA HEREDIA, have beautiful, marvellous views of the Serranía de Ronda slopes, as well as to the Mediterranean Sea, the Strait of Gibraltar and even the African coastline. This area has really exuberant vegetation, thanks to the natural lakes and springs surrounding the landscape that maintains the spot plenty of water.
