The José Banús Harbour has 915th berths for boats between 8 and 50 meters long. It occupies fifteen hectares, with a dock draught oscillating between 6 and 3 meters in berths, and 7.5 meters in its channel.
The daily average occupancy of boats is between 760 and 800.
It is located between Marbella and Nueva Andalucía, on the way to San Pedro de Alcántara, and has two beaches at both sides (one at the west and other at the east) where is very usual the practise of nautical sports. Also it is surrounded for some of the most selected estates of the area, like MALIBÚ BEACH, LOS NARANJOS or PLAYA ESMERALDA, which is placed in the so called GOLDEN MILE of Marbella.
Within the facilities offered by the harbour, emphasize the 50-tons elevator and the 6-tons mobile crane, both located in the dry dock area. Also there is a carpentry and painting workshop, where a huge range of nautical supplies are offered.
Beside the installations we find four public parking that can holds up more than 2.000 vehicles.

The harbour stands out also for its concern and insistence on the nautical developing of the Costa del Sol, that’s why they are always organising nautical activities to promote the interest in such kind of sports. So, inside these nautical competitions, we must stand out the followings: Regata Intercontinental Puerto José Banús – Cuidad de Ceuta, Regata Trofeo Nueva Alcántara, Regata Internacional Trofeo Omega, etc.
On the other hand, social and cultural activities are promoted through the CLUB DEL MAR.
Its commercial district/area is pretty varied, having more than 350 locations such travel agencies, banks, clinics, boutiques, art galleries, jewellery shops, restaurants, houses, hotels… etc. And, of course, emphasize its unbeatable situation: within a 10 kilometres radius we find 9 golf courses (with some of the bests in Europe), a bullring, the Great Casino, a summertime Auditorium… etc.
